About

Specialists in frac surveillance

GHC Consulting exists for one reason: to help operators understand what their fractures are actually doing.

GHC Consulting engineer reviewing seismic data

A consultancy built around the data

GHC Consulting is a Houston-based consultancy focused on hydraulic fracturing surveillance for the oil and gas industry. We provide microseismic monitoring — including seismic data processing and interpretation — along with distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) and vertical seismic profiling (VSP) services.

What sets us apart is simple: the people who acquire your data are the people who process and interpret it. That closed loop means fewer handoffs, tighter quality control, and reports written by interpreters who watched every stage unfold.

Our work is supported by purpose-built software, including STV — our free, public seismic trace viewer for fast, accurate review of large seismic datasets.

How we think

Principles behind every program

Interpretation first

Acquisition is only half the job. Every program is designed with the final interpretation in mind — what decision will this data support?

Honest uncertainty

We show detection limits, location uncertainty, and data quality alongside the results, so you know exactly what the data can — and can't — tell you.

Built for engineers

Maps, cross-sections, and recommendations formatted for completions teams. If it doesn't help the next frac design, it doesn't ship.

Led by GHC
